Inspired by artists like Gregg Araki, David Lynch, and Dennis Cooper, OJ Parker is a filmmaker and writer whose work heavily reflects this bold, boundary pushing influence while seamlessly blending it with his own human experience. His deep-south, Zachary, Louisiana upbringing coupled with his work in nearly every department yields OJ’s unique and incredibly well-rounded lens as a filmmaker. His debut short film “In The Light of A Miracle” premiered at the Oscar-qualifying New Orleans Film Festival, marking a striking start in his filmmaking career. OJ looks forward to sharpening his skills both directly behind the camera and as a writer.
