Olivia is a few weeks into camp at religious mental heath organization for young girls in the fictitious city of Acorn, Iowa. When Maria, Olivia’s long term best friend and deranged business partner, unexpectedly shows up it causes chaos in the camp and forces Olivia to question her own morals.

Director Madison Wolfe

Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Madison Wolfe began acting professionally at the age of seven. She made her feature debut in On the Road (2012), sharing the screen with Kristen Stewart and Amy Adams, and has since developed a career across both film and television. Wolfe is best known for her standout lead role in James Wan’s The Conjuring 2 (2016) and her most recent work in Netflix’s series The Hunting Wives alongside Brittany Snow and Katie Lowes. At 23 years old, with over a decade of acting experience, Wolfe now steps behind the camera as a writer/director with Acorn, Iowa, and the creation of MadWolfe Productions, marking an exciting new chapter in her artistic journey.

“ACORN, IOWA” is active in the film festival circuit, and is set to release in 2026. There are currently no upcoming public screenings.
