Caro and Cass, two self proclaimed orphans and best friends, break into an estranged family member’s mansion on the hottest day of summer. A day of full of laughter and mischief very quickly turns takes a turn as Caroline is forced to confront her painful past.
Director Grecia Sofia
Grecia Sofia is Puerto Rican filmmaker and recent graduate of Loyola University New Orleans. Influenced by filmmakers like Sean Baker and Alfonso Cuarón, Grecia aims to tell emotionally raw, grounded stories that capture the intimacy of real life. With a focus in producing and screenwriting, Grecia is currently working as associate producer on the independent feature documentary “Mississippi Mercedes” (post production) in addition to revising her debut feature screenplay, which focuses on the dynamic between three women and highlights themes of belonging, unlikely friendship, and fracture within families.
“Echoes In The Heat” is active in the film festival circuit, and is set to release in 2026. There are currently no upcoming public screenings.
